# Work with candidates

> Retrieve contacts, compare candidates, save results, export lists, and push candidates to your ATS.

After you find candidates, SeekOut MCP and your AI assistant can help you evaluate, organize, and act on the results without leaving the conversation. Some tasks only generate content in chat; others call SeekOut tools that use credits or write data to Recruit or your connected ATS.

  Every MCP action respects your SeekOut permissions. Review requested actions before approving them in your assistant. SeekOut MCP exposes specific write operations, such as creating workspaces and pushing candidates to an ATS, but it does not expose tools for deleting records.

## Retrieve contact details

Retrieve verified email addresses and phone numbers for candidates in your results. Contact retrieval uses your organization's SeekOut credit balance.

If you are unsure which credits are available, ask your SeekOut administrator.

## Draft outreach

Ask your assistant to draft personalized email, InMail, or call-script copy using the role and profile details already in the conversation. Drafting does not send a message or change candidate data.

## Export profiles

Export candidate profiles to Excel or Google Sheets for review and sharing. Specify the fields you want to include, such as name, title, company, location, skills, and evaluation notes.

Exporting profiles uses your organization's available SeekOut export credits.

## Push candidates to your ATS

Send candidates to a requisition in your connected ATS. Confirm the destination requisition before approving the action.

  ATS actions are available only when your organization has configured a supported integration and your account has access to the destination requisition.

## Save candidates to Recruit

Create a SeekOut Recruit workspace or add candidates to an existing one. Workspaces created or updated through MCP remain available in Recruit.

## Compare and shortlist

Ask your assistant to compare profiles, assess fit against role criteria, or rank a candidate slate. This analysis is generated in the conversation and does not change candidate records.

## Limited or conditional support

Some tasks still require Recruit or Career Compass:

| **Create or send an outreach campaign**      | Draft copy in the conversation; create and send the sequence in Recruit                                          |
| **Evaluate candidates in a workspace**       | Compare profiles already in the conversation; open the workspace in Recruit to load its members                  |
| **Remove a candidate from a shortlist**      | Add through MCP; remove in Recruit                                                                               |
| **Use an ATS requisition ID**                | Search the ATS pipeline or export to a requisition by ID; paste role details to seed a public search             |
| **Search or filter on diversity attributes** | Available to organizations entitled to diversity filters; otherwise use Recruit                                  |
| **Access Career Compass data**               | Search current and wanted skills in internal talent where configured; use Career Compass for the full experience |
