# Connect SeekOut to Antigravity

> Add SeekOut MCP to Google Antigravity's IDE and CLI with the shared MCP configuration and SeekOut sign-in.

Antigravity is Google's agent-first development environment. It connects to SeekOut MCP directly over Streamable HTTP and signs each user in with their own SeekOut account, so no administrator provisioning is required.

The Antigravity IDE and CLI share one MCP configuration file. Adding SeekOut once makes it available in both.

> [!NOTE]
>
> This page covers the Antigravity IDE and CLI. Gemini Enterprise is a separate product with a different setup — see [Gemini Enterprise](https://docs.seekout.com/mcp/connect/gemini.md).

## Prerequisites

* An active SeekOut account
* [Antigravity](https://antigravity.google) installed on your machine

## Setup

**From Antigravity settings**

**1. Open the MCP server settings**

Open **Settings** (`Cmd+,` on macOS, `Ctrl+,` on Windows and Linux) and select the **Customizations** tab. Scroll to **Installed MCP Servers**.

In the Antigravity IDE you can also click the **…** menu at the top of the agent side panel and select **MCP Servers**.

**2. Open the MCP configuration**

Click **Open MCP Config** to edit `mcp_config.json`.

**Add MCP +** opens Antigravity's server catalog. SeekOut isn't listed there, so add it through the configuration file.

**3. Add the SeekOut server**

Add the `seekout` entry inside `mcpServers`, keeping any servers you already have:

```json theme={null}
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "seekout": {
      "serverUrl": "https://seekout-search-mcp.seekout.io/tools"
    }
  }
}
```

Save the file.

**4. Reload and sign in to SeekOut**

Click the refresh icon next to **Installed MCP Servers**. SeekOut appears in the list, and Antigravity opens your browser to complete the SeekOut sign-in.

**5. Confirm the connection**

A green dot and a **Sign out** button next to **seekout** mean you're connected. Expand **tools enabled** to see the available SeekOut tools, and leave the toggle on.

Each user can access only the data and actions allowed by their SeekOut role.

**Edit the config file**

**1. Open the MCP configuration file**

Antigravity reads MCP servers from a global file, and optionally from a workspace file that applies to one project:

```text theme={null}
Global (macOS and Linux):  ~/.gemini/config/mcp_config.json
Global (Windows):          %USERPROFILE%\.gemini\config\mcp_config.json
Workspace:                 .agents/mcp_config.json
```

**2. Add the SeekOut server**

Add the `seekout` entry inside `mcpServers`, keeping any servers you already have:

```json theme={null}
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "seekout": {
      "serverUrl": "https://seekout-search-mcp.seekout.io/tools"
    }
  }
}
```

**3. Reload the configuration**

In the app, open **Settings → Customizations → Installed MCP Servers** and click the refresh icon. In the CLI, type `/mcp` and reload the servers from the MCP manager.

**4. Sign in to SeekOut**

Complete the SeekOut sign-in when Antigravity opens your browser. Once you're connected, **seekout** shows a green dot and a **Sign out** button.

**5. Start using SeekOut MCP**

## SeekOut tools in Antigravity

Expanding **tools enabled** lists everything SeekOut exposes — search, market analysis, profile lookups, workspace actions, and more.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Antigravity uses the key `serverUrl` for remote MCP servers. Configuration copied from other clients often uses `url`, which Antigravity does not recognize.

## How access works

Antigravity registers itself with SeekOut automatically using OAuth 2.1 with Dynamic Client Registration, so there is no client ID or client secret to enter. Each person signs in with their own SeekOut account, and every request runs with that user's SeekOut permissions and entitlements — the same access they have in the SeekOut web app.

Your organization's own policies for AI tools and connected data sources still apply. See [Security overview](https://docs.seekout.com/mcp/security/overview.md) and [Authentication](https://docs.seekout.com/mcp/security/authentication.md) for details, or the [Security and legal FAQ](https://docs.seekout.com/mcp/reference/security-legal-faq.md) for security review material.

## Troubleshooting

### The server never connects or shows no tools

Confirm the entry uses `serverUrl` rather than `url`, and that the JSON is valid. Then click the refresh icon in **Settings → Customizations → Installed MCP Servers**, and restart Antigravity if the server still doesn't connect.

### Antigravity doesn't ask you to sign in

Open **Settings → Customizations → Installed MCP Servers** and click the refresh icon to retry the connection. If **seekout** already shows a **Sign out** button, it is authenticated — sign out and refresh to start a fresh sign-in.

### The agent answers without using SeekOut

Check that the **seekout** toggle is enabled, then name SeekOut in your request, for example "Use SeekOut to find…".

### Something else

Check the [SeekOut status page](https://status.seekout.com), then see [Troubleshooting](https://docs.seekout.com/mcp/reference/troubleshooting.md).

See the [Antigravity MCP documentation](https://antigravity.google/docs/mcp/) for the full configuration reference.
